Nicola Callaghan FCIPD

Founder and Managing Director

Nicola started her HR career at British Gas, before spending time working in a number of financial institutions. Nicola has always had a strong business acumen, which led to the decision to start her own HR company in 2005.

Nicola now leads the company, working with clients on strategic and complex HR matters, while also managing and driving HR Caddy forward to be a ‘down-to-earth’ HR provider that can support a diverse audience.

Away from the office, Nicola enjoys socialising with family and friends, is a season ticket holder at ‘The Villa’, and is a bit of a bookworm, especially on holiday!

Louise Long MCIPD

Operations Director

Louise joined the business in 2018, starting her HR career within the financial sector before moving into the service industry, where she worked at a senior management level.

Louise was made Operations Director in 2020 in recognition of her dedication and ability to work with clients while mentoring and supporting the internal team. Louise manages the support team day to day, as well as working with clients at a senior level.

Away from the office, if Louise isn’t buying handbags and clothes, she’s out and about with Dotty (her dog) and her husband, enjoying walks and pub lunches! Like Nicola, she enjoys socialising with family and friends.

Martin Callaghan

Commercial Director

Martin joined the business in 2012 following a career in the telecoms industry. Martin manages all non-support operations, including sales, finance, and marketing.

Client relations are Martin's main strength, and he is the point of contact when signing up to HR Caddy.

Away from the office, Martin enjoys trying different activities, whether learning to sail, mountain biking, or hiking! At home, he loves a boxset and DIY, socialising with family and friends, and, if you hadn't worked it out, Martin and Nicola are married!

We have a great team supporting clients every day, whether it’s day-to-day advice or administration. Our team is professional yet personable, and we are proud of this. It is also HR Caddy’s culture to develop people who want to further their HR careers while supporting a diverse client base.

It’s not all work—relationships aren’t just important to us from a client perspective; they’re equally important internally. We regularly attend team-building events, and if you put 2 + 2 together from reading the Directors’ bios, you’ll see there’s a lot of socialising!

Established by Nicola Callaghan, who after 3 phone calls had her first client providing consultancy services within the NHS sector.

First Private Sector Client

Following 4 years of consultancy in the public sector, Nicola gained her first private sector client.

Expansion

Martin Callaghan joined the business to grow the SME & Private Sector clients.

New Office

2015

Moved into a dedicated office, welcoming 2 new members of the team along the way. The decision was made to concentrate services to SME & Private Sector.
