Complex Grievance Investigation

The challenge

Meet Sue from Better Pathways. Sue came to us after an employee had raised a complex grievance about several internal matters. As a mental health charity, it was critical to Sue this was handled in a fair and supportive way.

The solution

HR Caddy stepped in to lead the investigation on their behalf, offering impartiality and professional solutions for all parties involved. We liaised with the employee, set up meetings, prepared minutes, reviewed additional evidence, and produced detailed findings and outcomes. We made several recommendations, including mediation to support the working relationship going forward and suggested improvements to their company-wide communications.

The result

The employee was happy with the outcome and did not appeal the findings of our grievance investigation, as they were fair and reasonable. Sue now has peace of mind knowing that the situation was handled professionally and effectively.
