The challenge
A London Borough Council contacted us due to experiencing high volumes of ER casework and facing challenges in managing them internally within the desired timeframe. Some matters involved senior members of staff, upper management, or other significant role holders within the Local Authority, making it difficult to find internal investigators who could conduct a completely impartial investigation free from any actual or perceived influence.

The solution
HR Caddy designed a bespoke referral process to ensure they could hand cases over to us quickly and confidentially and agreed on an approach that reflected their needs and helped them clear the backlog. Our team were able to quickly get on and conduct thorough and impartial investigations, ensuring all parties were heard and fair outcome reports were delivered. Working with an external provider guaranteed the highest level of impartiality, providing reassurance to all parties involved. Unions approved of the decision to outsource, as it gave them confidence that the matter was being handled with genuine impartiality and that the investigator was under no pressure to protect any of the parties involved.
